Keep Your Sweet Tooth Happy with this Special Showcase of the History of Candy
Keep the Halloween festivities going with the nostalgic special event happening at the Independence Library! On Saturday, November 4th, the Library will open its doors for guests to attend “Classic Candy of the 20th Century,” an interactive look back on the history of everyone’s favorite treats.
American tastes are always changing, but one remains the same: candy. Many of us can define childhood by our taste in candy and decades of history are no different. This fun-filled program will examine the best-selling candies from the turn of the century thru the 1970s by decade, revisit old favorites, examine the roots of many of today's most popular brands, and reveal the fascinating story of America’s love affair with candy! It’s an interesting presentation you won’t want to miss, so be sure to mark your calendar for this educational program.
If you feel like escaping Nottingham Place Apartments in Cleveland, Ohio for the day, this event is a perfect opportunity to do just that!
